For more than two years they have been homed in the Santa Maria Rescue Centre. Working together with the Centre means a constant increase in the number of denuncias. The combination of the strength of Blue Horses and Cyd Santa Maria has resulted in a good cooperation. The denuncias are done by the CYD, and Blue Horses helps in taking care of the animals in the rescue centre.

The adoptions of the horses have gone really well, and these horses have been lucky to have found someone that cares for them.

Paws Patas was established in 1989. The towns of Vera, Garrucha, and Mojácar experienced a great deal of growth during the seventies and eighties, and became thriving tourist centers.

This inevitably brought a large number of stray and abandoned cats and dogs. Often, roaming packs of dogs were found on the roads, on the beaches, and even in the towns. These animals, had they been left to fend for themselves, would have had to endure starvation, disease, violent abuse, accidents, and the agony of death by poisoning. And what was worse, they bred uncontrollably.

A group of citizens, some of whom remain as active PAWS members to this day, joined forces to find solutions to these problems.

Denise Whitehair's love affair with Russian Blue cats began over twenty years ago and she had her first litter born in 1978.

Over the years, her cats and kittens have been very successful at cat shows and many have become Champions, Grand Champions, Premiers and Grand Premiers,  several have also won "Best in Show" cat or Kitten. Her "Denillanne" prefix is now known worldwide.

She came to Spain to live, and to build a boarding kennel and cattery in September 1998. She brought eleven of her Russian Blues with her to introduce the English Russian Blue to Spain.

Macrothele calpeiana belongs to the family Hexathelidae, the funnel webs. This spider is known to occur in southern Spain (Hancock 1992). During a holiday in southern Spain the opportunity arose to undertake a study of this species in its native habitat. The aim of the study was to gain an insight into the autecology of this most interesting of spiders. The field study was undertaken principally near the town of Alhaurin el Grande, Andalucia, southern Spain between 23rd July and 5th August 1994. The study area lies at an altitude of 290 metres above sea level. During the same period casual observations were made at other localities in the region.

Triple A Marbella is a charity organisation which is completely legal and registered. Triple A is dedicated to help and protect the abandoned and maltreated animals. We also try to increase the consciousness of good behaviour towards animals. Triple A survives entirely on donations, membership subscriptions and fundraising events. We do not receive any kind of financial help by national or local authorities! We really need your help...
