We're very grateful that this year once again the Marbella Ayuntamiento are supporting us as we provide the best of Irish hospitality, cuisine and culture on the most celebrated Patron Saint’s Day worldwide.
We, in Marbella, don’t want to miss out on the fun and festivities that a traditional St Patrick’s Day brings, so for your pleasure, we invite you to the warmest St Patrick’s Day festival yet! The terraces of Marbella Marina or Puerto Deportivo will be awash with whistles, whiskey and ‘wee’ tastes of all things Irish, so come join us as dancers and musicians woo you, your tastebuds will be satisfied with the keen tastes of ‘home’ and the ‘craic’ will be shared as you meet with friends that you just hadn’t met yet!
Many Irish people have come to Marbella, in the last five months to fifty years for no other reason than the obvious - we love it! We have made friends, integrated with other cultures, started and developed business and social clubs here (pubs!). Always at this time of year however, there is just a hint of nostalgia, patriotism and pride as 17th March approaches and we know of so many friends and relatives across the globe are uniting to celebrate the day of the Irish Patron Saint, Patrick.

This years Chosen Charity is the Bancosol Alimentos - Food Bank
In Marbella the HQ for the Bancosol Alimentos is in La Campana Business park where Thousands of tons of food is collected and re-distributed each year to the many thousands of people who find it difficult especially in the winter months when temperatures drop and work opportunities dry up. Many in our community have nowhere to turn to, but Soup Kitchens and the local Food Bank to feed their families. As the current recession lingers on and Government help is not forthcoming the demand on the food banks have increased dramatically bringing the charity to breaking point. While many people are discarding top quality foodstuffs many others are going hungry, so please this year if you are visiting the St Patricks Day Festival in Marbella please be generous and bring along nonperishable foods to the collection point which will be available on both days of the event.
